Clear them out

Clear them out

Apart from school & college works, teens have an age-old enemy whom they struggle very hard to tackle. Yes! Acne they are! Those red, itchy and irritating stuff pop up anywhere on our face out of the blue and ruin our plans for a perfect day! As annoying as they are, they also take longer and longer to leave and leave back a nasty scar of their presence on our face.

This is not only the case of teens, but also of a few unfortunates who put up with acne even after they pass puberty. In spite of using the most trusted anti-acne facewash, cream, or any other cosmetic item in the market, acne cannot be prevented. Experts say acne is the swelling caused by the outbreak of excess oil-secretion of the sebaceous gland infected by bacteria. One cannot always control the popping up of pimples, but can always cure it the natural way.

Here are a few natural techniques to deal with the horrifying acne effects:

  • Lemon: We know that lemon juice is rich in vitamin-C. But studies show that it is rich in citrus content and posses high anti-bacterial properties as well. Lemon helps the acne affected skin dry up faster. A perfectly balanced mixture of lemon juice and cinnamon powder can be applied on the affected areas of the face before bed. And then wash the face with warm water the following morning to see a lesser red, and clearer face.
  • Ice: Ice cubes have been an age-old method to reduce swelling. Here we apply ice to reduce the redness as well. Ice cubes, whole or crushed (your convenience) can be wrapped up in a clean piece of cloth and can be applied directly onto the affected areas. Repeat this till you see the redness and swelling virtually reduce. This will also give you a completely soothing effect.
  • Baking soda: Baking soda is well known for its anti-oxidizing properties. A mixture of baking soda and warm water when applied on the acne affected parts of the face can produce extraordinary results, for they reduce redness, inflammation and also the after-effect blemishes and the scary scars that acne leave behind. This is one of the most effective and cheapest way to get rid of pimples and their scars permanently.
  • Garlic: Garlic is not only an excellent anti-bacterial agent as an intake but also an efficient anti-fungal, anti-oxidant and anti-septic agent when applied on wounds of any type. And acne is never an exception! Take a fresh clove of garlic, slice it so that you can hold it with ease and slowly rub it over the acne-affected areas on the face. Leave it for the next 20 mins or so and then wash the affected parts with warm water. Repeat this thrice everyday and you can get rid of pimples once and for all.
  • Papaya: Papaya is one of the most sought after natural ingredient in all types of cosmetic products, especially in acne treatment. Take a freshly cut piece of papaya and squash it to a paste (or whatever consistency you prefer) and apply it directly onto the face, both on affected and unaffected areas, for papaya will leave your entire skin glowing. Leave the mixture on your face for another 30 minutes and rinse it off with warm water and pat dry, for a much clearer and lighter skin.

Hope you found our few natural ingredients and therapies worthwhile.
