How to get rid of pimples

Pimples are normal skin conditions by which many people are affected. It is a skin inflammation in which the oil glands called sebaceous glands get infected by bacteria, swell up and fill up with pus.The primary reason is the excess sebum secretion by the oil glands. Pimples are generally found on the face, back, neck and shoulders.Although it is not a serious condition but they can make a person feel miserable because of its appearance. Many lotions and medicines are present in the market for the pimple treatment in a short time period.
Here are a few ways to get rid of the pimples fast.
1) Ice
It reduces t he redness quickly besides inflammation and swelling of the pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area and in contraction of the skin pores while eradicating oil and dirt collected on the skin.Either ice cubes or crushedice, any one can be used as per the convenience.
2) Baking soda
It is another effective home remedy to remove pimples as it helps in exfoliating the skin to eradicate excess dirt,oil and dead skin cells.
Make a thick paste by mixing one teaspoon baking soda with some water or lemon juice.Wash skin well, keeping it slightly damp.Apply the paste on the affected areas and leave it to dry for a few minutes.Don’t keep baking soda longer than a few minutes because it can cause irritation or dryness. Wash face with warm water.Repeat the process two times a day for quick results.
3) Honey
It is a source of natural antibiotics which speed up the healing process and prevent infections.
Dip a clean cotton swab in honey, put it directly on the affected are and leave it for half an hour.Wash well using lukewarm water. Repeat this few times daily.
One more option is to mix honey and cinnamon together to make a paste and apply it on the pimples before going to bed. In the morning inflammation or swelling will be reduced. Wash skin using cold water.
4) Cucumber
It is a rich source of potassium and vitamins like A,C and E. It has a cooling besides soothing effect too.
Cut 1-2 fresh cucumbers into small pieces and soak them in water for about one hour.The nutrients like vitamin A, potassium and chlorophyll are transferred to the water. Strain the water and drink it. Or else use it to wash your face.
Face mask can also be made by grinding a cucumber. Apply it on the face and leave it to dry for 15 minutes .Wash face with warm water.This cleans dirt and bacteria from the pores.
