How to keep your Nails Healthy in Easy Steps

Apparently, you forget about this little part of your body while you think about beauty. Probably, you believe it goes unnoticeable behind the exquisite beauty of your face. It might be so, but don’t you think your health is more important than just looking beautiful. One should be healthy completely along with looking beautiful. And health doesn’t only relate to your heart, lungs, kidney, blood pressure blah blah. Your nails require equal attention.

Biting nails, a strict no no: Many of you just love to bite your nails, it is something that never asked you to do, but comes in naturally to you. Your favourite hobby can be called or a syndrome may be called, but you can’t and don’t want to get rid of it. Nail biting is a serious drawback for your nails, because you also eat everything around the nails, which makes the skin around your nails grow up and cover them from all sides. This makes your nails look dirty. A lot of dirt catches your nails which is eaten up along.

Do not eat the cuticles: Most of you, eat nails, but some of eat just the cuticles. Leave them alone. Cuticles work as a protection against growth of bacteria in the nails, if you eat them up you simply letting the bacteria allowing to grow, obviously it is unhealthy.

Cuticle oil: It is very important nourish the cuticles. Wash hands properly and apply cuticle oil after drying them. Do this before going to bed at night, so that oil works well deep into your skin. This practice will make your hands look moisturised, healthy and glossy. You may use mineral oil or baby oil instead of cuticle oil.

Vitamin A: some of you have brittle nails, which annoys you a lot as you have to take care of them too much. Increase vitamin A content in your meals. Take more of milk, yoghurt, cheese, almonds, carrot, broccoli etc.

Nail polish. A yes but beware: As it contains acetone also at times which might harm your nails if used in frequently. Take a break with your nail polish and moisturise the nails. Also, choose an acetone free nail paint.

Cleaning nails is very crucial, do not let bacteria breed in your nails, cleans them with a brush frequently. Avoid too much of manicure, it can make hands dry as manicure therapy involves a lot of chemicals.
