Good Nutrition should be the integral part of our life. It is especially important for youngsters to have good quality of food, the better you feed the brain, the better you will perform. So Eat Smart.

Tips for Eating Smart:

  • Make breakfast your best friend. Have a healthy breakfast before you start your day. Have a glass of milk with toast and a fruit. Remember, well begun, is half done.
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables-they provide us with vitamins, minerals and roughage. Avoid supplements, fresh is always better.
  • Fruit rank high for the brain so eat plenty of seasonal fruits. Choose power vegetables, darker the color the better it is for you. Include spinach, capsicum, carrot and broccoli in your daily diet.
  • Smart Snacking: Have healthy snacks like a fistful of nuts, cucumber- carrot sticks, gourds. Say no to chips and cold drinks. Remember they are filled with chemical preservatives.
  • Avoid big heavy meals-they slow you down physically and mentally.
  • Feed the stomach with simple fresh foods likes salads, boiled eggs and soups.
  • Most important of all, stay well hydrated. Drink plenty of water, juice, milk, coconut water, butter milk. Enjoy ice tea and green tea which are also rich in antioxidants.
