Winter Skin Care, Tips & Remedies

 

As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And when it comes to your skin, having healthy and beautiful skin matters a lot. We  like what we see in the mirror. Everyone tries to take care of their skin in a lovely way. When we use the word ”care” this simply means to protect from unwanted  changes or effects. We cover our skin when go for outing in summer, just to protect it from UV rays and heats, we use moisturizing lotions in winter to protect from dryness, eat or try to eat balanced diet and hydrate properly on a daily basis and everything we know we could  we do to care it. Having eyes on this all, we have some addition to it.

Taking Care of Your Skin

There are steps you can take to ensure you have basic healthy skin. They include the following:

Winterspecial  Tips:

  • In order to avoid the flaky skin during winter, wear warm clothes made of silk, wool, etc.
  • Cleanse regularly, typically twice daily.
  • If you have oily skin, Apply agood toner after cleansing
  • Keep baths short and avoid very hot showers.
  • Use less soap and do not rub your skin.
  • Do not wash your face frequently.
  • Perform 20 to 30 minutes of aerobic exercise thrice a week.
  • Apply a moisturizer if you have dry skin.

Remedies

Some of the popular cost-effective home care methods for a dry face are as follows:

  • Banana/Papaya/Avocado Paste:-A thick paste of one ripe banana, half a papaya, and one avocado is a good remedy to save skins from getting dry up. Apply this paste on the face, neck and other dry areas and  leave it on for about 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. This is an effective home remedy for dry skin to nourish our skin and lightens scars.
  • Honey:-In winter, one of the most effective remedy is honey. Its soothing and moisturizing properties, helps to tone and hydrate the skin. Mix one teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of milk powder and one teaspoon egg yolk. A honey and rose water mixture makes for an effective moisturizer.
  • Almond oil:-A natural home remedy that keeps the skin smooth and moisturized is Almond oil. Massage almond oil over the dry area.
  • Lemon:- Lemon is rich in vitamin C. Applying a lemon and avocado mixture on dry skin not only reduces dryness but also cleanses the skin, giving it a natural glow.
  • Aloe Vera:-Aloe Vera provides all the essential nutrients to the skin and makes it smooth and glowing.
  • Homemade Mask:- Mix two teaspoon of gram flour, two teaspoon of milk, and a pinch of turmeric, and apply all over the face and neck. Wash it off when it dries.
